Red Rocks Initiative for sustainable development Organization (RRISD) is an African non-profit organization registered is a Rwandan in 2017, that supports sustainable development in Africa countries especially in Virunga massive and Albertan rift valley by engaging in sustainable tourism and community driven environmental conservation initiatives that are meant to benefit local communities in Africa Countries, The organization was initiated by Mr. Greg Bakunzi and born from the idea that sustainable tourism and environmental conservation has the power to uplift the disadvantaged people around Virunga massif and in other African countries out of poverty and instill in them a sense of purpose and pride. The Organization exists to enhance the standards of living of the local communities in the Virunga massif region and beyond in other African Countries, by benefiting from environmental conservation and sustainable tourism through trade in their talents, art, music, and cultural diversity to improve community livelihood for social, economic sustainable development. The Organization long-term objective is to ensure the local communities benefit from their skills in trade, art, music, education, and much more so that their can gain from sustainable tourism, while helping environmental conservation, since part of the organization programs like eco-tourism culture center believe that all the three are inextricably linked and therefore should be promoted together.
