About ReWorksSA

ReWorksSA is a Division of the City of San Antonio's Solid Waste Management Department. Our team works with businesses who want to start and/or improve not only their recycling program, but also their sustainability program. We provide guidance and sustainable resources at no cost to San Antonio area businesses.

Our most recognizable program is our certification program. This program looks at a company's Sustainable Best Practices (Recycling, Water & Energy Conservation, Transportation, and Environmental Policies). The program awards points in each of the Sustainable Best Practice categories and businesses can earn our Bronze, Silver, Gold and newest level, Pinnacle award based on their score. Winners receive a custom designed award, signage for their building and mentions on our social media channels.

ReWorksSA launched in 2018. In 2021, we expanded our vision.

ReWorksSA is now one of the City’s key climate initiatives. By implementing our recommended sustainability best practices and getting certified for that effort, our partnership with you will have tangible, measurable results in improving San Antonio’s environmental and economic profiles.
