Asian-Americans are 3 times less likely to seek mental health help, but experience some of the highest reported levels of mental distress. Mental health issues in the Asian-American community stem from community specific issues, such as immigration, war, discrimination, survivor mentality, insufficient healthcare accommodation, and culture.
We recognize these issues, and work to create a community that can be proud of Asian-American culture, while supporting one another to grow beyond the limitations of lack of mental health understanding and resources.
We provide resources from Asian-Americans, for Asian-Americans, designed to foster community while being empathetic about the root problems.
Webinars:
Free online webinars, hosted co-hosted by local professionals to address Asian-American specific topics, including stress, anxiety, sexuality and identity, all with an emphasis on Asian-American struggles with these topics.
Workshops:
Free in-person workshops catered to Asian-American culture, covering relevant topics and hosted by mental health professionals cognizant of the Asian-American community.
