Pitpatpet Ltd uses technology to augment traditional pet care, enabling owners to take better care of their pets and enhance their ownership experience. Our first product PitPat consists of a small hardware device that attaches to a dog’s collar and an app that enables the owner to see their dog’s activity levels on a mobile phone. The app compares measured activity levels to veterinary guidelines for over 200 breeds of dog. The owner can then set goals and track progress to help keep their best friend happy and healthy and check up on what they have done while they have been apart. The company was founded by a group of four entrepreneurs based in Cambridge with expertise in high volume product design and sensor technology. Based on their experience developing human wearable devices and other low-cost and simple-to-use consumer products, the group spotted an opportunity in the pet sector and formed the company to develop it.
