About Particle Design
Particle Design is a global user experience design studio launching products and services that have a meaningful impact on the world. We have partnered with some of the world's leading brands to help shape the future of how humans use technology.
We were founded in 2017 as part of a split of Empirical into two companies. In the last 10 years, first as Empirical and now as Particle Design, we have designed and built products with companies like Intel, Jaguar Land Rover, Samsung, and Virgin Hyperloop One. We have crafted experiences in the fields of consumer electronics, transportation, healthcare, education, IoT, and mobile.
We employ best in class user experience research, design, and engineering practices. Our clients have called us a 'mini-IDEO' because we are laser focused on connecting our work to real human needs and we have a world-class UX team to support that goal. We help our clients ensure they solve the right problem and design for peak experiences. We work together toward that magical moment when an experience transcends simply meeting a need and transforms a person's life.
We form long-term, meaningful partnerships with our clients, but also recognize the value of going it alone from time to time. We put a large percentage of our profits directly back into internal initiatives so that we can continue to innovate and learn. We also share these rewards amongst particleites because we recognize the value in creating opportunities for our staff and in retaining the best research, design, and engineering talent in the industry.
