Park View

Park View is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school situated in Haringey, North London. We have approximately 1,080 students on roll at the school between the ages of 11 to 16. Park View has an unwavering belief that all students must be given the knowledge and skills they require to live happy and fulfilled lives. We actively prepare our students to be self-motivated and to take ownership of their own learning, with the aim that they will continue to do so long after they leave us. We believe that the highest quality teaching matched with a broad and balanced curriculum is the only way to ensure that our young people experience the success they deserve. Park View has three core values: ‘Aspire, Achieve and Succeed’. Students are taught to respect and support each other, regardless of their backgrounds and we actively seek out the best teachers and support staff to help our young people thrive. Park View is a leader in the field of child mental health support and in 2015 our student mentor team was awarded the distinguished HSJ Innovation Award for their ‘Time 2 Talk’ programme. We offer a very wide range of enrichment opportunities and we believe passionately that developing ‘social capital’ in our students is of equal, if not more importance to their academic successes. In 2016, our pupils achieved excellent outcomes in their GCSEs that placed our school in the top 25% nationally for pupil progress. Our girls in particular achieved a Progress 8 score of 0.6, which made us the top performing school in Haringey for girls’ progress and one of the top performing in the country.
