About Operation Understanding DC
As high school students, participants tackle our nation's most entrenched societal ills: bigotry and discrimination. After graduation, they provide leadership as our community grapples with these issues. Their shared vision is a future where all can flourish without the threat of prejudice. Operation Understanding DC’s mission is to build a generation of African American and Jewish community leaders who promote respect, understanding and cooperation while working to eradicate racism, anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination.
