NHS Interim Management and Support (NHS IMAS) provides interim and consultancy support to NHS organisations across England.
The purpose of NHS IMAS is to grow and develop local NHS talent and to provide the support that is needed by the NHS, but to do so in a way that builds a sustainable legacy.
NHS IMAS has a resource pool that consists of highly skilled and credible professionals from across the NHS and wider professional backgrounds. NHS IMAS pool members are deployed on an interim basis to assist NHS organisations in a variety of ways including:
- Filling an executive position on a short-term basis such as Chief Executive; Director of Finance or HR; Director of Operations.
- Service and fitness for purpose reviews (such as IM&T, finance, clinical services).
- An advisory role as part of a transformational change programme.
- Managing a large department or operational service.
- Coaching and mentoring.
NHS IMAS is hosted by NHS England and NHS Improvement and the Senior Sponsor is the National Director of the Transformation and Corporate Development Directorate. No commission is charged by NHS IMAS.
