MoveForwardSocial started as an idea in the mind of Christos Vassilopoulos. He has worked with many companies in the field of developing projects which bring back money to their owners. Either directly or in an indirect way. He is for the last 7 years the Managing Partner of ChannelDoubler.com. He also has a rather good training experience for about 3 years teaching web design and emarketing principles to adults who were working already for different types of professions. Through this he found that there are also many individuals and small companies who really cannot afford to pay another company to manage their Adwords, SEO, Analytics, Social Media actions or even build a proper website.

Also, he noticed that despite the fact that economy was down worldwide, still the need for learning how to promote “anything” online was steady and demanding, not to say increasingly demanding.

Moreover, such small companies or one-person teams, didn’t know where to start from or how to do simple things in the framework of e-marketing works. Many people wanted to build a website to promote i.e. a new book, or a few -yet valuable- services, but apart from hearing that “you can build a blog and stack information there” they had no idea what else to do. Thus, in October 2011, the MoveForwardSocial concept was formulated. The first version of the website was aired and it offered a guide book in Greek, along with some pretty nice services for beginners in social media and search marketing.
