Modena Software, Inc. was founded in 1993 and is based in Los Gatos, California. Since its inception, Modena has focused its attention exclusively on test suite and library products for compiler and systems vendors. Modena's C++ and Java language Test Suites are used by most major compiler and systems vendors worldwide such as SunMicrosystems, IBM, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Cray, DEC, NEC and SGI. Besides conformance and validation test suites, Modena also develops test suites geared towards C++ compiler performance testing. Lib++, the Modena C++ Standard library is available on several platforms. Founders of the company include Atul Saini, current CEO and CTO of Modena. Mr. Saini was one of the members of the C/C++ Standards Committee and is currently an active member of the OASIS organization. He has also published an authoritative work on the Standard template Library and Modena was one of the first companies to commercialize STL++ as a product. Recently, Modena has also started distributing the Java Test Suite from Fiorano Software Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise Class messaging middleware. This test suite has been purchased by all major JMS vendors including Sun Microsystems to test their own implementations, and is one of the most comprehensive Java Test Suites on the market today.
