MeasureUp is the fastest, safest, way to assess what's "going on" on the inside using the worlds most advanced scanning technology; Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA). DEXA assesses bone mineral density and the body's soft tissue composition (muscle and fat mass) with 99% accuracy. Using these measurements we can determine your total body fat percentage, changes in regional body composition and even determine your risk of Type 2 Diabetes and heart disease. We also use the results from the DEXA to estimate your resting metabolic rate, which takes the guess work out of losing or gaining weight! Our staff are accredited exercise physiologists dedicated to delivering individual health assessments and customised advice. MeasureUp has pioneered the use of DEXA for body composition scans in Australia since 2005. Our director, Dr Meerkin, had been using DEXA as a research tool for 13 years before he established Body Composition Australia in 2005 and subsequently MeasureUp in 2010. DEXA can accurately benchmark an individual allowing them to track changes in muscle and fat tissue.
