About MAPLE Microdevelopment

MAPLE (Microdevelopment for the Alleviation of Poverty through Learning and Entrepreneurship) is a United States based international non-profit organization with operations in East Africa, South America, and the U.S. We work closely with marginalized yet resilient communities to co-design and implement locally sustainable financial services and income generating activities. We also provide tailored education and mentoring programs to youth and adults in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, business development, and inclusive governance of local resources. Most importantly, we view development as an inherently reciprocal practice. As we work closely with communities to co-design sustainable approaches to local development, we always learn at least as much as others learn from us. We develop ourselves and our respective communities, together.
