Loudoun County Health Department

The Loudoun County Health Department is accredited through the Public Health Accreditation Board, the first health department in Virginia to achieve this designation. It provides a wide range of health care services and works to ensure the health and well-being of Loudoun County residents. The department collects information and identifies problems and conditions that potentially affect the health of the public and assists with the strategies to deal with these problems. The Health Department also provides advice on health-related matters, works to control the spread of disease, and inspects and investigates conditions that may adversely affect public health. The Health Department is working closely with the medical community, public safety agencies, and citizens to continue to keep everyone safe from the potential of chemical, biological, and radiation attack. Mission: The mission of the Health Department is to provide health services that enhance and ensure the health of all Loudoun County residents. This is achieved by working with partners in the County and town governments, State and Federal agencies, private organizations and residents to protect the environment, prevent the spread of disease and promote residents’ health.
