Library Futures

Library Futures is the think tank for the future of libraries and free and open information for the public. Founded in July 2020, we identify and address cutting edge issues within library and information science, mobilizing a community of experts through research, policy and advocacy, education, special projects, and programmatic interventions that seek to encourage adoption of technologies that uplift libraries in the digital age. We are nimble, unique, collaborative, and visionary, tackling critically important issues for libraries and the public at the speed of technology. As of September 2022 we are a project of the NYU Law's Engelberg Center.
