Knowledgette

Knowledgette is a startup company based in Silicon Valley specializing in personalized, virtual knowledge sharing for professionals in the oil and gas industry. In particular, Knowledgette is focused on helping O&G industry professionals enhance their technical and operational knowledge. Knowledgette’s core philosophy recognizes that professionals have different prior knowledge and different professional goals, and therefore different learning needs. Historically, companies have provided relatively standardized training programs, often in the format of weeklong-courses delivered on a schedule to groups. Knowledgette enables employees to start from the most appropriate point for themselves, follow an individualized path through the topics they need, and conduct their training in small bites at the most relevant and convenient time. Hence, Knowledgette’s product offers searchable knowledge points in micro-video-lectures of approximately 10-minutes each, taught by leading industry experts and delivered through an online platform built for today's cloud-enabled forms of media consumption. Users are connected to each other with social functionality built into the platform, and administrators can choose to activate or not various quizzes and exams that are built into the platform.
