Description
Information
KOMETA is a Boston based not-for-profit Serbian cultural and educational program, for children ages 2-14. Students are grouped according to their age and current knowledge of Serbian language. The program mission was initiated in October 2006, with the goal of teaching Serbian language, customs, history, science and culture, in order to motivate and inspire children to maintain their Serbian identity and cultural heritage. KOMETA has its own well-loved and meticulously maintained library of children's books in Serbian language. During the school year, students participate in two recitals and several field trips in order to build camaraderie and strong cultural ties. KOMETA classes are held once a week at the St. Sava Church in Cambridge, MA. Please see the map below and the calendar page for class schedule.
