ABOUT Founded in 2012, JAYU is a registered charity that shares human rights stories through the arts and engaging dialogue. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMMING: 1. iAM program: a weekly project that connects professional photographers and storytellers with undeserved youth with the aim of empowering them through the arts. 2. Human Rights Screening Series: quarterly premiere film screenings throughout the year that draw attention to some of our world's most pressing and important stories. 3. Human Rights Film Festival: our annual Human Rights Film Festival takes place at the prestigious Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema in the heart of Toronto each December during human rights month. 4. The Hum Podcast: a weekly podcast that cuts straight to the heart of human rights stories. Raw, honest and uncensored, from the people who have lived them first-hand.
