Hoppers Soho opened in November 2015, followed by Hoppers Marylebone in September 2017 and Hoppers King's Cross in February 2020. Hoppers is inspired by the food of Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka, with the hopper and dosa at the heart of the menu. The cocktail list at Hoppers focuses on Genever and Arrack, and a selection of Sri Lankan soft drinks are also available.
The interior of each Hoppers location takes inspiration differently: Soho features warm terracotta tiles, a woven rattan ceiling, Rashka masks, and Tamil comil imagery; Marylebone takes cues from the Tropical Modernist movement associated with Geoffrey Bawa; King's Cross follows the much-travelled coastal journey from Colombo, the island's capital, to the historic
Dutch town of Galle. At King's Cross, there is also an extended bar, serving own-brewed Hoppers beer on tap.
Hoppers Soho has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand for six consecutive years since 2016, the same year it was awarded Best New Restaurant by Square Meal and the Evening Standard, and Best Restaurant by Tatler.
