Paul and Karen Scrivens have been running Hatch Engineering LTD, a small friendly company which has been trading successfully, for the past 24 years.

Hatch Engineering specialise in all forms of metalwork, which also includes Gates, Railings, Structural Steel Work, through to maintenance and welding repair needs.

Our saying is "If you can draw it, we can make it!"

As well as having a fully functional workshop, we also have dedicated vehicles which are equipped for site work, whether it is just holes that you need drilling or even a fully manufactured structure.

As from the 1st July 2014, CE marking on structural steelwork becomes mandatory. For many months now Hatch Engineering LTD has been working to implement and incorporate the scope of standards, as defined by EN 1090, into our own quality management system.

The EN 1090 standard pays particular attention to the management of welding processes and Hatch Engineering LTD has recruited a dedicated and qualified Responsible Welding Coordinator, in addition to this, key personnel have succesfully completed various training courses relevant to the standard.

The company is about to employ the services of a Nominated Body who will audit our systems and subsequently issue certification of accreditation. This accreditation will allow the company to CE Mark our products up to and encorporating the specific requirements of Execution Class 2, which is appropriate for the majority of buildings constructed in the United Kingdom.
