About Happiful

Our first issue of Happiful Magazine launched on 20 March 2017 - International Day of Happiness.

Our mission is to create a healthier, happier and more sustainable society and to challenge the stigma around mental health and promote wellbeing. Happiful Magazine is currently available in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons nationwide and free to read digitally at www.happiful.com

Happiful is run by Memiah, a company with heart. Founded in 2005 by two sisters, Emma and Aimi, Memiah's main goal was to help individuals looking for local support for their mental health and wellbeing. So, Counselling Directory was born.

In addition to Counselling Directory, we operate a number of websites with the same drive behind them; connecting those in need of help, to a professional who can. This includes Hypnotherapy Directory, Life Coach Directory, Nutritionist Resource and Therapy Directory.

Together, our magazine and online directories make up the Happiful Community. The Happiful Community is dedicated to sharing the stories, experiences and support available for the whole of our society and we will work continually to ensure we represent and speak to the broadest audience possible.

- Working with us -

We practise what we publish. We are a forward-looking, family-feel organisation with a unique working environment where achievements are recognised and celebrated. We pride ourselves on offering excellent customer service, recently winning the Nice Reply Customer Happiness Award 2018.

We champion workplace wellbeing and promote a healthy work-life balance through initiatives such as weekly fruit deliveries, a lunchtime running club and flexible working hours (including a 3.30pm finish on a Friday).

Our approach is to make great things happen by working hard. We are very proud of how far inspiration and hard work has taken us since we started in 2005, but we’re constantly looking for new ways to reach our mission. We believe in the people who work for us.
