Focus Point Capital was created with a single-minded purpose -- to create a client-centric and aligned solution for investment alternatives. Our story begins in 2010 with a request from a single-family office, who after being deeply disappointed by hedge funds during the Great Financial Crisis, was forced to liquidate their public market portfolio at substantial losses. They said never again do we want to pay high fees, not know what we own and why, and not have access to our money. That's why it is our objective as an organization to develop investment solutions that manage risk based on the market environment, allowing investors to participate in the upside of economic expansions while protecting capital during severe downturns. We believe this was the original promise of hedge funds, which we strive to fulfill in a new way by providing investors low fees, the best possible liquidity terms, transparency and ultimately what we believe investors are looking for, in a word – alignment Focus Point’s philosophy begins with having the conviction that there are better times to take risks and worse times to take risk. To capitalize on the environment, we believe that an objective and systematic approach to analyzing data combined with a strict and disciplined process leads to repeatable performance you can count on.
