First Tee-Greater Philadelphia

The First Tee of Greater Philadelphia is a youth development organization that provides youth with educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. Our six member professional staff have decades of experience working with youth and are expert teachers of the game of golf. They care about our participants and want to see them grow in the game and as people. We currently serve youth at multiple locations in the Greater Philadelphia area, including our two teaching and playing facilities, FDR Golf Course (South Philadelphia) and Walnut Lane Golf Club (Roxborough). At FDR, our facility is located adjacent to the clubhouse. With over 4,000 sq. ft, our facility at FDR is a wonderful place to learn about the game. It houses our offices, 1000 sq. ft. putting/chipping green, two indoor hitting bays, a 10 station computer lab. Outside we have a synthetic putting green, a 12 station synthetic tee driving range and a short game area. At Walnut Lane, The First Tee Program is delivered inside the clubhouse and outside where we have a driving range, a synthetic putting green and a short game area. In 2012, The First Tee of Philadelphia expanded its footprint from Philadelphia County to the eight-county metropolitan area that surrounds it. This includes Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester counties.
