The First Responder Task Force was created to serve those who put themselves in harm's way.
Our first task is to provide every eligible First Responder a $5,000 benefit at no cost to the individual or the agency. This benefit is in force 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on or off duty. Over $900,000 of these benefits have been paid out. All sworn, non-sworn, paid, volunteer, administrative, reserve, and other department personnel are eligible for this $5,000 emergency benefit.
Step 1 | INITIAL BRIEFING WITH DEPARTMENT HEADS:
We initially brief the department head to inform them of our SOPs and set an efficient schedule based on your direction to ensure all eligible sworn and non-sworn staff receive the benefit.
Step 2 | SERVE THE DEPARTMENT:
Our SOP is to brief the department centered around the department's normal operations without interfering with day to day operations. We have refined our briefing to be extremely efficient as not to burden leadership or administration.
SURVIVOR BENEFITS:
Our second task is to brief the department regarding the survivor benefits now available to First Responders through the Armed Forces Benefit Association.
