Fairmount Innovation Lab

The Fairmount Innovation Lab is a unique, cross-sector lab, incubator, and accelerator for elevating, launching and growing creative enterprises along the Fairmount Commuter Rail Line. The Innovation Lab includes three strategies: Space584, a physical place for projects, curated events, community meetings and sharing of ideas across sectors. Incubator584, an access point to business services, workshops, advising, network building, meeting space, and funding preparing creative entrepreneurs and artists along the Fairmount Corridor to advance their ventures and careers. Fairmount LaunchPad, a competition and accelerator for creative industry start-up ventures by entrepreneurs along the Fairmount Indigo Corridor. Selected participants will gain access to a community of highly motivated entrepreneurs, a collaborative work space, education, advice, new contacts and funding. The accelerator will bring together mentors and experts in business model development, marketing, finance, legal issues, technology, sales and design. Apply at www.lab584.org. The Fairmount Innovation Lab is part of the larger Fairmount Cultural Corridor (FCC) Placemaking Initiative, which draws upon the local cultural assets and ethnic traditions along the Fairmount Commuter Line to support vibrant, livable neighborhoods and an active, sustainable local creative economy. Launched and directed by ARTMORPHEUS, the Lab is produced as a partnership with Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative, Design Studio for Social Intervention, and the City of Boston/ Main Streets.
