FCSS-FESC

The Federation of Canadian Secondary Students-Fédération des Élèves du Secondaire au Canada (FCSS-FESC) is a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Ontario, Canada with operations in Alberta, British Columbia, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Our mission is to help fuel the future ambitions of students, whatever they might be. We represent secondary school students across Canada and ensure that they have a voice in their education. We provide a platform, help them network, and provide essential information through our programs and events. The FCSS-FESC has now spread to over 50 schools across Ontario and we intend to continue our work through various programs, events, fundraisers, conferences, and more, while still continuing towards our initial goal of giving power to the student voice, through our; School Ambassador Program, Pathways Mentorship Program, Initiate Affiliate Program, ICE (Inspire, Collaborate, Excel) Conference, Annual General Meeting, and FCSS-FESC sponsored Workshops and Events. As we continue to advocate for Canadian secondary students, and fuel youth passions and student initiatives, we are constantly developing new programs in pursuit of fairness and social justice, the latest of which is our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (EDI) Committee, whose role is to facilitate a society that encourages diversity and differences within their citizens. Specifically, the EDI Committee’s goal is to raise awareness about Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity issues across Ontario. From tackling and battling homophobia, to understanding the stigma behind mental illness, the EDI Committee strives to accomplish a world in which everyone is able to have the tools to become upstanders against atrocities within their daily lives.
