About Ecoconnect
Incorporated in November 2009, ecoConnect CIC received seed funding through Robert and Catherine Hokin, its Founders and Executive Directors, allowing it to instigate a marketing campaign and host a number of networking events. This strategy was designed to test and demonstrate ecoConnect’s ability to deliver low cost, high quality networking forums and engage the cleantech community. ecoConnect’s inaugural networking forum, with Zac Goldsmith as keynote speaker, brought 150 delegates together and set the stage for a regular monthly forum, branded “Green in the City”, specifically designed to gain a foothold in the City of London in order to target the finance community in an engagement that was new to the sector. These forums proved immensely popular with ecoConnect’s target audience and Green in the City quickly established itself as a main fixture for cleantech business networking in London.
