EMQN CIC

The EMQN is a not-for-profit community interest company (CIC) promoting quality in diagnostic genomic testing through the provision of external quality assessment (proficiency testing schemes) and the organisation of best practice meetings and publication of guidelines. We are an internationally-respected, UKAS-accredited provider of External Quality Assessment (EQA) services, with 1600 members in 68 countries. EQA is an essential requirement for any laboratory seeking to provide a quality service and is a vital component of clinical governance. EMQN monitors global laboratory performance in diagnostic molecular genetics, molecular pathology, and technical laboratory testing processes such as DNA sequencing (Sanger and NGS).
