About Distrix
The Distrix network virtualization platform creates a software-defined WAN to deliver on-demand networking connectivity necessary to power the industrial Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. Distrix delivers on-demand WAN connectivity for simple, secure and resilient communications in remote and cloud-based applications. Distrix gateways substantially simplify the deployment of complex and dynamic network communication infrastructure. The Distrix Secure Gateway Router creates an overlay network that abstracts the underlying network connectivity. The resulting network virtualization simplifies service provisioning and maintenance. The Distrix Service Provisioning GUI enables administrators to provide secured bandwidth on-demand for new remote locations or new applications without the need to touch firewalls or appliances. Deployment of Distrix service tunnels can be automated through a RESTful API. The Distrix platform is software-based and can be deployed on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) x86-based hardware or hosted on any cloud service provider.
