PenrodEllis Forensic Data Discovery of Denver, Colorado provides forensic data recovery services to attorneys who represent individuals and organizations engaged in any civil or criminal matter involving Electronically Stored Information.
PenrodEllis FDD offers four distinct services to our clients: Data Preservation, Electronic Discovery (eDiscovery), Digital Forensics and Incident Response. Although some methods and processes are shared (such as Data Preservation procedures), Electronic Discovery, Digital Forensics and Incident Response are not the same thing.
Data Preservation is the foundation of eDiscovery, Computer Forensics and Incident Response. PenrodEllis FDD preserves client ESI by collecting forensic bit-stream images from the digital electronic devices on which it is stored.
Electronic Discovery involves the management, identification, recovery and exchange of user generated ESI, such as email messages, text documents, databases, etc., as well as internal and external file metadata in civil matters.
Computer Forensics (or Digital Forensics) involves the recovery and analysis of system, application and user generated ESI in both civil and criminal matters.
Incident Response is an emergency computer examination of network-linked servers, workstations, routers and attached storage that may have been compromised by a hacker or malicious software.
