Compton College

Compton College, located at 1111 East Artesia Blvd., Compton, CA, is a vibrant educational institution that has been serving its community since its establishment in 1927. Originally part of the Compton Union High School District, the college gained independence in 1950, leading to the construction of its current campus, which opened its doors in the fall of 1956. The Compton Community College District (CCCD) spans approximately 29 square miles, providing educational services to nearly 300,000 residents across Compton, Lynwood, Paramount, Willowbrook, and surrounding areas, including parts of Athens, Bellflower, Carson, Downey, Dominguez, Lakewood, Long Beach, and South Gate. Today, Compton College offers over 40 degree programs and 20 certificate programs, supported by a dedicated faculty of approximately 290 full and part-time teachers.
