Information
Clean Seas Seafood Limited was formed by The Stehr Group in 2000 and was publicly listed in 2005. Our company’s initial purpose was to propagate and grow Southern Bluefin Tuna, as well as other species including Yellowtail Kingfish. Whilst retaining the knowledge on how to breed and farm Southern Bluefin Tuna, today Clean Seas focuses its efforts on the sustainable, full life-cycle production of the regionally indigenous Spencer Gulf Kingfish. Clean Seas is the global leader in full cycle breeding, production and sale of Spencer Gulf Kingfish and the largest producer of aquaculture Yellowtail Kingfish outside Japan. Spencer Gulf Kingfish has a compelling provenance proposition, delivering culinary excellence around the world. Our cold-water reared fish is renowned for not only its unparalleled quality but also its extraordinary versatility, and is certified by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council. Spencer Gulf Kingfish has also been awarded the “Best Fish” prize at the Australian Food Awards several years running. Clean Seas is recognised for innovative aquaculture practices and reliability in supplying the highest quality fresh fish to markets all over the world, 52 weeks a year. Our operational footprint includes a Hatchery and R&D facility on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, multiple farm sites across the Spencer Gulf and a world-class seafood processing facility in Adelaide. We work closely with our network of distributors, wholesalers and retailers to develop long term relationships in markets all around the world. Our Sales and Marketing teams are strategically located across Australia, the US and Europe to best serve our growing global customer base.
