Chicago Public Art Group is a nonprofit group committed to enhancing public space and public engagement in all of Chicago's neighborhoods through community-based art. This work is rooted in the principle that everyone deserves to see great art, that every community deserves a voice, and that artmaking and public art encourage community investment. For nearly fifty years, Chicago Public Art Group has been helping communities work together to transform their environment with artwork that expresses identity, unity, and pride, creating opportunities for interaction between neighbors and neighborhoods that build lasting connections in the process. Chicago Public Art Group provides organizations, agencies, and schools with skilled artistic leaders and the professional management needed to produce community landmarks—beautiful murals, mosaics, sculptures, seating, banners, and space design. Our artists are dedicated to working with community members to create meaningful and significant art.
