This revolutionary app combines film, animation, stories and games. It guides children in dealing with their smartphone, improves their social skills and helps parents understand and support their children’s online world. Parents are the virtual app store owners who approve desired apps, after which kids can unlock them by earning the necessary skill points.

Season 1 is created for first time smartphone users. It fortifies kids and relieves parents, giving an introduction course to the smartphone for children in the age category of approximately 8-12.

The parent dashboard contains short and snappy info on what kids are actually doing online, how to keep your family cyber safe and about the fine print that (nobody reads but) you should be aware of.

For pre-teens and teenagers ChatLicense Seasons 2 and 3 will deal with more mature themes such as online banking, gambling, sexting and addiction.

Curated in cooperation with social scientist from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, created with award-winning video & animation heroes and built by gamification specialists. ChatLicense is a partner of Netwerk Mediawijsheid and the Dutch AI Coalition.
