The New Zealand Refining Company Ltd is New Zealand’s only oil refinery and the leading supplier of refined petroleum products to the New Zealand market, including petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and other products. From April 2022, we will change our business, becoming Channel Infrastructure, New Zealand’s leading fuel infrastructure company. Our core business will be the operation of a fuel import terminal, which will import, store, and distribute fuel owned by our customers. Channel Infrastructure will utilise Marsden Point’s deep-water harbour and jetty infrastructure, 180 million litres of shared storage tanks, and the 170-kilometre Refinery to Auckland Pipeline (the RAP) and the truck loading facility (the TLF) located adjacent to the Marsden Point site. In addition to the core business, Channel Infrastructure will be well positioned to support New Zealand’s changing future fuel needs.
