We began as CastlePointe, a traditional IT consulting firm focused on IT efficiency, process improvement and governance. While we enjoyed many years of success, we found that many of our clients were not realizing the full benefits of their efforts. We realized that it was because while the focus was typically on the process or the technology, the area that needed the greatest attention was in changing the behaviors, attitudes and perspectives of the people that worked in IT organizations.

In 2009, we began focusing exclusively on helping IT organizations lead and execute transformational programs. But we found that our traditional consulting models were not working well. To many clients, the term consulting implied that we would be “doing the work,” but the hard work of transformation had to be done by the organization itself. So we focused instead on education, on facilitating workshops and on coaching teams through the process.

The formation of The IT Transformation Institute was really just the final reflection of who we had already become.
