The Carey Institute for Global Good is dedicated to making a better world by contributing to a strong, educated and just society. The Carey Institute is located in the historic hamlet of Rensselaerville, New York – a community of farmers, writers, artists and civic advocates. A stunning two-and-a-half hour drive from New York City through the Hudson Valley, our staff will be happy to arrange transportation. Nestled on a 100-acre campus in the heart of a pristine nature reserve, we offer an inspiring place to convene and advance the work of journalists, policy makers, artists, agricultural innovators, entrepreneurs and other change makers – who seek sustainable solutions to local and global challenges. We see a world that is irrevocably interconnected. Local communities feel the impacts of what happens across the globe. Building on our communities’ intellectual and social capital, the Carey Institute works with local and international partners to achieve our mission through residency programs and initiatives in journalism, agriculture, and art and music.
