CanKids...KidsCan, is a family support group for children with cancer and their families. We are a unit of the Indian Cancer Society, Delhi Branch, which in turn is a branch of the Indian Cancer Society, headquartered in Mumbai. We are members of the International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parents Organizations (ICCCPO) from whom we take our guidelines and have developed our mission statement. We are an ever growing group of 80 volunteers, interns and staff including: * Adult and teenage survivors and caregivers * Teenage cancer patients * Parents of children with cancer * Professionals in the field of Pediatric Oncology, psychology and social work * Educators, academicians and teachers * Volunteers from all walks of life, including young adults, college and school kids from India and overseas OUR VISION: * To facilitate 70-90% survival rates for children with cancer in India. Worldwide 70-90% children can be cured of cancer. In India over 70% children still die of the disease * To ensure no child should suffer for want of treatment for lack of finance * Provide the entire spectrum of support services to any child with cancer anywhere in the country * To create environments where children under treatment for cancer are comfortable, pain free and have a chance to be happy, to have fun, to be cosseted and TO CELEBRATE LIFE
