CFRE International

CFRE International administers the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification programme and credential. The CFRE is the only independently accredited, internationally-recognised baseline professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives. When you become a CFRE, you join a global network of over 6000 fundraising professionals who are shaping the future of philanthropy worldwide. The CFRE credential is earned through a two-part assessment process (application & exam), not a curriculum-based educational program. To apply, candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience as a fundraising professional. In addition, candidates must document that they have met minimum requirements in education and professional fundraising performance. Candidates whose applications are accepted then take a comprehensive exam covering six knowledge domains in fundraising: Current and Prospective Donor Research, Securing the Gift, Relationship Building, Volunteer Involvement, Leadership and Management, and Ethics, Accountability and Professsionalism.
