Bruern Abbey School
Bruern Abbey School, located in the picturesque grounds of Chesterton, Oxfordshire, is a pioneering institution dedicated to providing specialized education for boys diagnosed with dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other learning difficulties. As a day and weekly boarding school, Bruern Abbey offers a nurturing environment where students can flourish academically and socially. With a strong emphasis on personalized learning, our highly skilled and passionate staff are committed to addressing each boy's unique needs, equipping them with effective strategies to manage their learning challenges.
For many years, Bruern Abbey has been the only school in the UK focused primarily on preparing boys with learning difficulties for Common Entrance and other entrance examinations to mainstream independent senior schools. In response to the growing demand for tailored educational pathways, we are excited to announce the expansion of our provision to include preparation for GCSEs, with the opening of a senior school in September 2022. This initiative reflects our belief that learning difficulties should not hinder academic success; rather, they can be transformed into strengths with the right support and guidance.
Our comprehensive approach combines academic rigor with pastoral care, ensuring that boys not only excel in their studies but also develop confidence and resilience. The Bruern Abbey School teachers list comprises dedicated professionals who are experts in their fields, each bringing a wealth of experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs. With a wide array of extracurricular activities and a strong sense of community, Bruern Abbey is truly a unique educational haven where boys can thrive and reach their full potential.
