Bridgeway provides an academic day program to students aged 5-19 with learning disabilities.
We believe each child must be taught in the way he or she learns best. For children with learning disabilities, this means individualized remedial programs in classes which never exceed a 8:1 student-to-teacher ratio. We know each student's strengths and needs, and we design our programs accordingly. Our schools follow the Nova Scotia Department of Education's curriculum guidelines.
With over 25 years of experience working with students with learning disabilities, we have developed a number of specialized programs that work.
We begin with a personalized admissions process that includes academic assessments to identify the student's strengths and needs. We use that information to build an individualized program which uses those strengths and addresses the student's needs. We continuously monitor the student's progress through evaluation, feedback and adaptations to ensure outcomes are met.
We have schools in Dartmouth and Truro, Nova Scotia.
