Baja NITK Racng is a team comprising of racing enthusiasts from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal who believe in the saying "Its better to be a racer for a minute than to be a spectator for lifetime". Together, our team of 25 dedicated and talented future engineers are currently designing and manufacturing cars that will enable us to compete in the BAJA competitions conducted by the Society of Automotive Engineers India (SAE INDIA). We have named our team as a tribute to our predecessors, the legendary Junkyard Maniacs and will now aim not only to emulate their feats but to better them. Above all the hard work, determination and technicality, its the adrenalin rush we experience seeing our car race past the finish line and bring glory to us that makes us work even harder. After all, " Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well-deserved piece, but to skid in broadside,thoroughly used up, worn out and defiantly shouting 'Wow!, What a ride!!!'
