Weekly Summer Day Camps for girls entering Kindergarten through 8th Grade. + Athena Mini is offered for girls K-2nd grade. + Athena Junior is for girls 3rd-5th grade + Athena Middle is for girls entering 6th-8th grade + Coach in Training Program We have two locations offering multiple sports, just for girls. Athena Camps' mission is to inspire courage and build confidence in girls through a unique combination of athletic, creative, emotional, and social activities in a nurturing community. Small camp size and ratios allow strong female role models to connect with girls through group discussions, art projects and sports. This creates a powerful positive energy – magic happens. • Sports We see sports as an opportunity to develop the whole person. Rather than competing, we emphasize skill development, enjoyment and character building. We teach the lifelong skills of goal setting, perseverance, and teamwork. Through enjoyable and successful experiences with sports, girls are empowered and gain confidence as their athletic ability grows. • Creativity We encourage all girls and coaches to express themselves in as many unique and positive ways as possible. It is our job to be role models in authentic self-expression. • Girl Power Circles Every girl is a star and deserves to shine. We always sit in circles to give everyone an opportunity to be seen and heard. Each day begins with a “feeling check-in” and the schedule of the day. The day ends with a Closing Circle giving girls another opportunity to share feelings and positive intentions.
