Applied Pharmaceutical Innovation

API is a not-for-profit that works closely with Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Alberta, and other academic and health institutes across Canada. API draws on an interdisciplinary network of over 30 pharmaceutical scientists, clinicians, regulatory, patent, and market experts in a variety of fields and disease areas. API partners with industry in a framework that brings the expertise of Canada’s research institutes together training students on real industry projects, building capacity and a pipeline of talent. We also provide the services of a pharmaceutical company to researchers and SMEs, delivering expertise in drug development: business, regulatory and patent strategy, regulatory compliant toxicology, synthesis, formulation, PK/PD, and a viable path forward from discovery to successful phase II clinical trials.
