American Academy Of Insurance Medicine (AAIM)

AAIM is among the oldest medical organizations in the United States, having been founded in 1889. Our mission is to advance the practice of Insurance Medicine. We believe that medical science is the basis for providing fair and accurate pricing, underwriting of applications and claim service. Our membership includes physicians as our largest group with nurses and interested insurance professionals playing an active role as well. Our focus is education and research involving the science of risk selection, underwriting and claims for life, disability and long term care. We also provide liaison and speakers to the public and to other organizations.
