It stands for the pursuit of excellence, providing every brother with the best in social, mental, and moral development; The Purpose - To Make Better Men. The Fraternity, also knows as, “AGR,”, began at Ohio State University on October 10, 1904; later merging with Delta Rho Sigma Fraternity from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign on April 4, 1908, in Indianapolis. Alpha Gamma Rho maintains chapters at nearly every land-grant university and major four-year agricultural school in the United States.
