At Adult Enrichment Centers, we engage adults of all abilities in community programs that promote inclusion and independence.
AEC was established 33-years ago as a mission of Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church. Since that time, we’ve expanded services to provide dually-licensed adult day health services in three local Centers - Rock Hill, Fort Mill, and York - serving 150 members per day and assisting more than 250 families with their long term care needs annually.
We operate fully accessible door-to-door transportation for over 80% of our members daily. We make long term care an affordable option for individuals and families who want to ‘age in place’ and delay institutional care as long as possible.
We opened High Five Club in 2006 as parents sought additional community-based services for their adult children with disabilities following the completion of their K-12 public education. Many parents saw their young people losing skills without access to a structured day program.
In 2018, we expanded High Five to include CESP-certified individualized services for competitive wage employment. We embrace building a fully inclusive community as a primary value and priority.
