About Access Code
Access code is a non-profit organization which seeks to teach the basics of computer science to students of government schools who are first generation learners.
Access Code introduces Computer Science to over 1500 students of primary government schools over 2-hour workshops on a weekly basis. These first generation computer users, aged 9-12, learn not only how to use a computer but they learn how to code as well. These workshops aim to open the world of computer science to students at a young age, increase awareness about coding and encourage more participation of both boys and girls in fields of science and technology. With technology becoming such an integral part of our lives and professions every day, it is time that young students grow up not only using technology but learning how to create it.
