Volunteer applications are now available for the 2010 U.S. Senior Open. The Championship is not possible without the help of more than 3,000 volunteers needed to fill positions on 30 committees, including On-Course Supplies, VIP Transportation, Leaderboards and Merchandise. A full description of committee responsibilities is provided on the website and on the application form to assist volunteers in determining their preferences All volunteers are required to purchase the Volunteer Package for $125. The Volunteer Package includes the following (a $300 + value): One (1) Championship golf shirt One (1) Championship windbreaker One (1) Championship hat or visor One (1) Championship water bottle One (1) Championship program voucher One (1) Volunteer credential valid for all seven days of the championship One (1) Year complimentary USGA membership in 2011 Complimentary food, snacks and beverages on the days you volunteer One time discount in the merchandise pavilion Opportunity to purchase discounted tickets Each volunteer will be asked to work approximately 16 - 20 hours or four to five shifts over the course of the championship. Junior volunteers may sign up for the Program Sales or Standard Bearers committees. Juniors must be between the ages of 13 and 17 at the time of the championship and have a basic knowledge of golf. The junior volunteer package (priced at $25) includes: one (1) 2010 U.S. Senior Open golf shirt one (1) Ball cap volunteer credential (valid for all seven days of the championship).
