17th Annual European Festival 2014

The 17th Annual European Festival will be held on the last weekend in May at Swangard Stadium (Boundary Road/Kingsway in Burnaby) on May 31st and June 1st, 2014. There are several major sections that comprise the all day Festival: -Cultural Tents where all participating countries display traditional & contemporary information and artifacts; -Stage Performances expressing culture through dance, and music; -Flag parade, where all countries will display their local flag, carried by VIP's and/or children; -Food Court with European businesses or communities selling ethnic foods at a gourmet standard; -Beverage tent offering a large variety of cold, refreshing beverages; -Market Place where commercial vendors sell European-related products and services; -Trade show for businesses with European connection to showcase their company and products -Children's Activities with games, crafts and face painting; -Evening Dance with a Live Band. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP $50 for a group/society/business; $25 for an individual who represents him/herself Opportunity to rent a table or booth (see fees on the Market place form, PDF file) to sell European-related goods and services at the European Festival Marketplace Tent, or present a business or organization in connection with a European culture, heritage or descent at the Trade Show.
