125 Magazine was launched in 2003 as a showcase for new work and ideas by a wide variety of photographic artists. Published twice a year, the magazine quickly became a highly collectible industry magazine and eventually a lifestyle magazine with a circulation peaking at 25'000 copies across 23 countries. Uniquely, 125 also made its photographic content available as limited edition art work, operating as an online photographic art gallery supported by numerous exhibitions and pop-up shop events in London, New York, Paris, Berlin and Tokyo. 125 has been credited by numerous publishing commentators as one of the key titles responsible for creating the current the current surge in independently published high-end art/style magazines. The partners behind the magazine now concentrate on their own work but 125 continues today as an annual photography exhibition and book.
